Early Clinical Careers Fellowships for nurses and midwives
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) leads Early Clinical Career Fellowships (ECCF) for nurses and midwives in NHSScotland in collaboration with NHS Boards and Higher Education Institutions in Scotland.
The Early Clinical Career Fellowships are an opportunity for highly enthusiastic, talented and motivated nurses and midwives to develop personally, professionally and academically at an early stage in their career. The fellowships aim to have a positive impact on patient care delivery both now and in the future through focussed support and maximisation of leadership potential.
Each Fellowship comprises supported Masters Education, Action Learning, Masterclasses and Strategic Mentorship over a 3 year period.
An ECCF PILOT project commenced between 2007 and 2009 with participants completing between 2010 and 2012.
ECCF 2011 commenced in September 2011 with 20 fellows due to complete in August 2014.
